Lucas Moura believes Paris Saint-Germain will boast the best defensive partnership in the world when David Luiz joins the club.
Luiz will move from Chelsea and link up with Brazil captain Thiago Silva soon and the 21-year-old winger is excited about the transfer.
Lucas told ESPN Brasil: “This is a great hire, a great defender. I am very happy to have him with us.
“Now we have the best defensive duo in the world and more players of better quality for us. We are well catered for on the defensive part, middle and attack either. Our team is very strong.”
The young Brazilian discussed what it felt like to miss out on selection to Luiz Felipe Scolari’s World Cup snub and he revealed that his father had some words of comfort for him.
Lucas added: “Everyone supported me, comforted me and said that’s football.
“I’m very young, with the ability to play other things. One of my greatest qualities is my head, the mind. I understand things well.
“My father says that in football and life you have to be prepared for everything and I’ve stood back and there is no point in regretting.
“I’ll overcame this, battle and I am now looking forward to the other cups, I have a lot to play.”
