Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Lucas Moura has admitted he is over his World Cup snub and isn’t wishing that somebody gets injured.

The 21-year-old is on Luiz Felipe Scolari’s reserve list and should any injuries occur to attacking players he is likely to be the man called up to replace them.

Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Bernard recently felt discomfort but Lucas won’t be hoping he is injured and is just waiting to cheer on his friends at the national team.

The PSG man told ESPN Brasil: “I’m not waiting for anything, just for the start of the World Cup and to start cheering on Brazil.

“It has passed (not being selected), I am over it, I’m fine. I am not hoping anyone gets hurt, that is not part of my profile.”

Lucas is looking forward to catching up with friends in his home country and cheering on Brazil as a fan.

“I’ll cheer on my country, for my companions,” Lucas added.

“My thoughts are now on vacation, enjoying time with my family, friends, visiting home and I’ll watch and cheer as all Brazilians will be doing.”
