Brazil’s Group A opponents ran out 3-1 winners in a friendly against Ecuador on Saturday, but will have to contest this summer’s tournament without midfielder Luis Montes, who suffered a suspected fractured leg.

Montes scored his side’s first goal, shortly before a sickening clash of legs with Ecuador’s Segundo Castillo.

Montes will now be out of action whilst his country prepares for the World Cup with further friendlies against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Portugal.
