Hellas Verona Sporting Director Sean Sogliano was at Morumbi to watch São Paulo beat Atlético Mineiro 2-1 on Saturday, according to reports.

Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio believes Sogliano attended the match with the hope of seeing São Paulo’s Dorlan Pabón and Atlético Mineiro duo André and Lucas Cândido in action.

Of the three players, Pabón, who is on loan from Valencia, stood out the most, with his 90th minute strike sealing victory for São Paulo. The Colombia international did, however, only play eight minutes, while Atlético’s Lucas Cândido wasn’t even named amongst the substitutes.

In contrast, André played 61 minutes, but had a frustrating evening and managed just two attempts on goal, both of which were off target.

How serious Sogliano’s interest in the trio is remains to be seen, but he is expected to have a busy summer with the future of Juan Manuel Iturbe – a target for Real Madrid – and loanees Marquinho [Roma], Marco Donadel [Napoli], Boško Janković [Genoa], Rômulo [Fiorentina], Iván Pillud [Racing] and Ezequiel Cirigliano [River Plate] yet to be decided.
