The Atlético Madrid striker has been speaking of his joy at being included in Spain’s final squad.
Costa is yet to join his teammates in full training and suggests that he will only play a limited role in his country’s upcoming friendly against El Salvador.
In an interview with AS, Costa said: "I'm very happy. I am buzzing to [be] with Spain, to play in the World Cup in Brazil. I'm delighted.
"I was working with the physios and rehabilitation coaches and I feel great. Starting tomorrow, I will work with the team under the command of Vicente del Bosque.
"I hope to have a few minutes in the game next week against El Salvador in Washington."
