Luiz Felipe Scolari may rest some players for next week friendly matches but David Luiz is hoping he isn’t one of those rested.

The 27-year-old spoke to the media today alongside Chelsea’s Willian and admitted he is desperate to play in the friendly games against Panama and Serbia.

UOL quoted the Chelsea man, who is on the verge of moving to Paris Saint-Germain, he said: “I have arrived in excellent shape.

“Of course I have adjustments, a few things that can improve, but my will is to play in these friendlies, because we’re missing being on the field.

“I want to go. Hopefully I get picked because I really miss representing my country.”

Luiz went on to reveal that it was his biggest dream growing up to represent the national team and that he has missed playing in front of the Brazil fans.

The 27-year-old added: “The biggest dream was to play in the national team.

“The affection I had in Portugal, I was much loved at Benfica, but always missed touching the hearts of Brazilians,”

“So if I have the opportunity to give back, I try to give my best because I know that it is very important not only for me and for the fans.”
