Marcello Lippi: Italy have ‘better weapons’ than England
The World Cup winning manager believes that Italy will defeat their Group D opponents in Brazil.
Lippi also compared the current Italy squad with those that won the trophy in 2006.
"I see many similarities in the psychological profile between this group and mine that won the World Cup," said Lippi in a report from The Guardian.
Commenting on the differences between England and Italy, Lippi said: "We are stronger. We have the better weapons."
Italy will take on Ireland in a friendly at Fulham’s Craven Cottage on Saturday.
