Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has reiterated his belief that he will lead the country to a home World Cup triumph come July 13, appearing to have an unwavering thirst for the occasion.

The man who led Brazil’s victorious 2002 team in Japan and South Korea told reporters: “There is no pressure on Brazil. Brazil are not under pressure to be the world champions. Brazil will be champions.”

“I wouldn’t have accepted the Brazil job if I didn’t think we could win the World Cup. I wouldn’t be leading the team, I’d be sitting at home.”

“I took this job because I’m 100% convinced that I will win the World Cup with Brazil.”

Scoalri’s battle cry comes two weeks before the start of the tournament, when the hosts will face Croatia in Sao Paulo.
