Paulinho says goodbye to Livorno fans
Paulinho’s agent recently revealed his client would be departing Livorno soon and the striker has seemingly sent a farewell message to the Amaranto fans.
The 28-year-old was impressive for Livorno last season but despite scoring 15 times, he was unable to keep the club in Serie A.
In a message published by II Tirreno, Paulinho revealed he’ll always carry Livorno in his heart.
The Brazilian said: “Farewell Livorno, I will always carry you in my heart.
“From Livorno and the people of Livorno I have received so much, even in the moments when things did not go for the best.”
Football Italia quoted Paulinho's goodbye message, and he ponded whether ‘others’ could feel their conscience is as clean as the Brazilian.
Though Livorno was relegated, Paulinho could not be blamed for their poor season, however he wonders if others could have done better.
“The relegation? I am at peace with my conscience because I have always given everything,” Paulinho stated.
“I believe that many others should perhaps look inwards.”
The Brazilian is expected to leave Italy and following a good individual season, he won't be short of suitors.
