Spain Head Coach Vicente del Bosque is unsure whether Atlético Madrid forward Diego Costa will be fit for the World Cup.

The 25 year-old, who was born in Brazil but has chosen to represent Spain at international level, is suffering from a recurring hamstring problem and is a big doubt to be ready in time for the tournament.

“We don’t know the physical state of everyone and until June 2 we are not obliged to give the list to FIFA,” said Del Bosque, as reported by Sky Sports.

“We would like that on the second everybody who has been called up can train. The World Cup starts against Holland and we want everyone to be ready to go.”

Should Costa not make it, then del Bosque will have to look to David Villa, Fernando Llorente, Álvaro Negredo or Fernando Torres as a possible replacement.
