Barcelona star Neymar reveals minor foot injury but claims it won't affect Brazil World Cup bid
Brazil forward Neymar has given medical staff and fans alike a scare ahead of the impending World Cup after revealing that a first season in Spain with Barcelona has left him nursing a minor injury to his foot- but the star of Selecao insists that it is nothing to worry about.
Ahead of meeting up with the rest of the 23 man squad this week, Neymar told reporters at Globo TV: "It's swollen because it's not returned to what it was, but the foot is fine. Physically I'm 100%."
"It was a year of learning. It was not the year I thought it would be, I imagined winning titles and making millions of goals, but that's not how things work. Do not say it was a bad year."
Neymar's Barcelona side failed in their quest for domestic and European glory, finishing second to Atletico Madrid in La Liga and losing to the same opponents at the quarter final stage of the Champions League.
