Neymar: Brazil will beat Argentina and Lionel Messi in the World Cup final
Neymar has revealed his delight at being so close with Barcelona team mate Lionel Messi but has admitted he would love to beat the Argentine in the World Cup final.
Brazil and Argentina are among the favourites to win the World Cup, which is due to start next month, and many are already predicting a Neymar v Messi showdown.
The 21-year-old told Times of India recently that he will embrace with his club team mate after any match but is desperate to beat him as well.
Goal.com quoted Neymar, he said: "I shall try to play at the best of my abilities while Lionel will try to do the same.
“And after the match, we shall embrace each other. These two things will be there for sure, the rest is unknown.”
The Brazilian revealed that he and Messi have discussed the possibility of meeting in the World Cup final.
He added: "Actually, we had such conversations in the Camp Nou dressing room and I had always said that if we meet in the final, we (Brazil) shall be the winner. But he says the same too (about Argentina).
"It's really great to know such a talent from close quarters. I am really lucky."
