The Brazil and Real Madrid legend has called on this World Cup squad to support their talisman this summer.
Carlos compared Neymar with his former international teammate, Ronaldo, in an interview with LANCE Net !
“The Seleção today needs to work as the team of 2002 worked for Ronaldo. We always worked for Ronaldo because we knew what he could do up front. Neymar, like Ronaldo, has quality and is decisive.
“But Thiago Silva and Júlio César need to be the leaders, they cannot pass responsibility to Neymar. Neymar needs to play calmly and without responsibility. It is a World Cup at home, so we need to shield Neymar. Brazil has more experienced players. Neymar has responsibilities but he is very young. He needs to stay calm.”
Carlos added: “Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar will be the names of the World Cup. But Neymar will be the best of all. He is relaxed and confident.”
