Torino forward Ciro Immobile admits Italy are working in saunas to help deal with Manaus heat
Torino forward Ciro Immobile has admitted Italy are working in saunas to help prepare for playing in Manaus.
The Azzurri face England in what could be unbearable heat at the Arena da Amazônia in their opening Group D match.
With the conditions expected to be unbearable, Italy are taking measures to try and acclimatise before they head out to Brazil and Immobile believes the work they are doing now will leave them well prepared to cope in Manaus.
"We are working in the sauna," he told FIFA.com. "That helps to get us used to the temperature in Manaus.
"You don't feel anything strange by being in the sauna, we just do specific training exercises in terms of breathing. We have worked with a lot of intensity in the past few days. We are preparing well in order to arrive to the World Cup in the best possible condition."
