Brazil playmaker Oscar has told reporters that it is frustrating waiting for the World Cup to begin and announced that he is fully fit for football’s biggest event after appearing at a promotional day in Sao Paulo.

The Chelsea and former Internacional player said: “I hope it starts soon. We’re all looking forward to it. It will be a privilege to play the World Cup in our own country. It’s a great generation of players and we hope to confirm this on the field by winning the title.”

Regarding the muscle injury that has troubled him in recent times, the 22 year-old said: “It’s only been two weeks. Now it is ok. I’m 100% for the contest of the World Cup.”

Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has favoured Oscar as part of his attacking trio behind Fred in the lead up to the tournament and he will likely occupy one of the three positions off the Fluminense forward alongside Neymar and Hulk.
