Portugal Manager Paulo Bento has confirmed his 23-man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The most prominent player omitted from the tactician"s initial 30-man squad is Porto winger Ricardo Quaresma, who has been reborn this season since returning to the Dragões in January.
The other players cut are goalkeeper Anthony Lopes [Lyon], Vitorino Antunes [Málaga], Rolando [Internazionale], André Gomes [Benfica], João Mário [Vitória de Setúbal] and Ivan Cavaleiro [Benfica], while Cristiano Ronaldo is selected despite currently suffering from a hamstring problem.
