The Spanish coach’s short spell with the Curitiba side has come to an end.
The club has only secured one victory in this Brasileirão campaign.
“There is a day when the coach feels he must leave the club and I felt that yesterday. I leave Atletico Paranaense. It was a pleasure to work here,” Portugal said on Twitter.
