Spurs midfielder Paulinho gives World Cup campaign his back and hopes fans enjoy what Brazil has to offer
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho is giving his support to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s Be On The Ball campaign ahead of the World Cup this summer.
A statement released on the official Spurs website confirmed the news that the former Corinthians midfielder would be backing the cause.
Paulinho said: “I am extremely proud that my country is hosting this year’s World Cup and hope that we put on a great show for the entire world to see.
“I hope that fans travelling to the tournament not only enjoy the football but also make the most of what Brazil has to offer, so please stay safe and check the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for travel advice before and during your visit.”
Paulinho will be a key player in Luiz Felipe Scolari’s team and by giving his backing to this initative, he may have a few more fans chanting his name in Brazil this summer.
