Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho has lavished praise on the quality of the Premier League on the same day his team rounded off the fixture list with an impressive 3-0 win against Aston Villa at White Hart Lane.

The former Corinthians player, 25, moved to London last summer for around £17 million and has generally been applauded for a debut season in the English top flight.

He told Lancenet: “I see that the Premier League is growing and year after year their players are doing their job the best way they can.”

“This is one of the strongest leagues in the world and we have to enjot the Premier League.”

Paulinho is one of six players that are based in the country to have made head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari’s World Cup squad, the others being Fernandinho of Manchester City and Chelsea stars David Luiz, Oscar, Willian and Ramires.
