Hernanes has praised team mate Javier Zanetti ahead of the Argentines final San Siro appearance before he retires.

Zanetti is an icon figure and has his place in Internazionale history is firmed secured. And his Brazilian team has been hailing the defender ahead of tomorrow match against Lazio, the midfielder’s former side.

“Zanetti? I think talking about him is pointless,” Hernanes told the club’s official website.

“Everyone knows about him and everyone knows the player he has been and the person he has been. It has been a pleasure to meet him before he retires from playing.

“He is a marvellous person. I say that there are humans and then there are monsters and he is a monster! He is no human!”

The Brazilian was asked about the prospects him scoring his first home goal tomorrow and he hopes it comes soon.

He added: “Scoring at San Siro? Let’s hope so. It’s always nice to score, though at San Siro I still haven’t.

“But sooner or later it will come because I am looking for it. And when you look for things, you find them!

“Who knows, maybe tomorrow.”
