Muhammad-Ali Maciel Afonso was killed in an electrical accident at the Arena Pantanal on Thursday.
Finishing touches were being made to the stadium, including wiring and seat installation.
Work on the stadium has been suspended to allow for an investigation into the accident.
Maciel Afonso is the eighth worker to lose their life during the construction of Brazil’s World Cup stadiums.
