Hernanes has admitted he found it hard to leave Lazio.
The 27 year-old departed to join Serie A rivals Internazionale in the January window.
Hernanes insists deciding to move on after over four years with Lazio was tough, but is pleased with how the transfer has worked out.
“My goodbye to Lazio? I thought about it for two weeks before accepting,” he told LanceNetper.
“I had a great relationship with the Lazio fans, but my arrival at Inter was incredible. Everyone welcomed me very well.”
Hernanes joined Lazio in August 2010 from São Paulo. During his four and a half year stay in Rome, the Recife-native made over 100 appearances and won the 2012-13 Coppa Italia.
