Atlético Mineiro defender Nicolás Otamendi has admitted he is unsure what his future holds.
The 26 year-old, who has been linked with Manchester United, is on loan from Valencia.
The Spanish club signed Otamendi in January from Porto for €12 million, but couldn"t register him until next season, so moved him on to Atlético Mineiro to see out the campaign.
Otamendi has settled quickly in Brazil and would seemingly be interested in staying atAtlético long-term, if Valencia are looking to sell him.
"It does not depend on me," he told Globoesporte. "It’s a possibility [to stay] that I would like because I am enjoying it at Atlético, with their fans, my team-mates, but I have not decided. The decision is Valencia’s."
Otamendi has featured in both of Atlético’s opening 2014 Brasileirão matches – a 0-0 draw with Corinthians and 2-1 defeat to Grêmio.
