Barcelona, without the services of the injured Neymar, could only be draw 2-2 with Getafe at the Camp Nou earlier this afternoon and because of that result their chances of winning the La Liga title now seem virtually over.

The Catalan club trail league leaders Atlético Madrid by three points with just two games to play, whilst Atlético also have a game in hand.

In addition to this, rivals Real Madrid trail Barcelona by just three points and they still have two games over the Camp Nou side.

Therefore it was imperative that they defeated Madrid-based Getafe today but they failed to do so, despite the best efforts of Dani Alves and Adriano.

The duo started at right and left-back respectively, with Alves assisting the first goal for Lionel Messi.

That assist was the Brazilian’s third in the league this season but his team failed to build on from that goal.

They conceded before the first half was up and although Barcelona did retake the lead in the 67th minute, a last gasp equaliser means they look set to end the season with just the Supercopa de España to show for their efforts.
