Brazilian goalkeeper Neto has given an insight into the fervour surrounding Fiorentina’s Coppa Italia final against Napoli on Saturday afternoon by speaking of the manner in which fans are approaching him on the street.

As the Viola attempt to win the trophy for the seventh time (but first since 2001), so too will 2012 winners Napoli be striving to win a fifth Coppa.

And Neto told reporters ahead of the game: “Fans are very excited whenever I go out in the street here- they ask me if we are ready for the game or ask us to give the maximum in the end.”

“The fans really want this title and our campaign allows that hope. It’s going to be my first final here in Italy and hopefully we can extend the good moment and celebrate the title.”

Neto has been struggling with a minor knock for the game, but he is now expected to continue as a Fiorentina ever-present this term by taking his place in the starting XI.
