Even though José Mourinho has four Brazilians already on his books at Chelsea, various reports across the world suggest he will be trying to sign another in the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho is the man being linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge with various outlets in Brazil confident he’ll join the Blues after the World Cup.

Globo and UOL Sport have both reported interest from Chelsea, whilst English newspaper Daily Telegraph believe Spurs would be open to the move.

Paulinho’s signing in the summer was hailed by most as Tottenham appeared to beat off interest from Real Madrid to sign the talented Brazilian.

However, the former Corinthians midfielder has struggled since suffering from injuries earlier in the campaign and has only recently came back into the side under new boss Tim Sherwood.

With David Luiz continuously linked with a move and with Frank Lampard’s age preventing him playing every game, Chelsea believe Paulinho could be a perfect summer addition to their already strong squad.

Spurs are interested in signing Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku and many believe they would be happy to arrange a deal, assuming the Belgium moves to White Hart Lane.

However, with a hugely important World Cup coming up for Brazil, it is unlikely that we will find out if this is a move that could potentially happen until that tournament has concluded.
