Argentinian forward Ignacio Scocco has insisted he is not looking to leave Sunderland.
The 27 year-old, who was signed from Internacional in January for around €3.65 million, has made just six appearances in the Premier League – all as a substitute – for the Black Cats.
“I have not considered the possibility of returning to Argentina but a return to Argentina is always in my plans, Newell’s are my priority there, but let’s see,” he told America & Closs.
“I am under contract with Sunderland, when the season is over I’ll talk with the board and the staff and see what I’ll do.
“I came willing to play, this is why I want to talk with the board but I am a Sunderland player, I have two more years of contract here.”
