Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has put thoughts of World Cup success on hold, as he prepares to try to win an historic double for his club; the Spanish side are still in with a shout of claiming the Champions League and La Liga double.

After a 0-0 semi final first leg game in the former of those tournaments against Chelsea last week, Atletico will host their English opponents on Wednesday, and Costa told Goal: “I’m not nervous, it’s a beautiful game, let’s enjoy and play.”

“it will be a different game at home, they have to come out and play.”

Atletico are still four points clear in the league as well, with three games to play. If they win two of those, they will be Spanish champions, rendering the final match away to Barcelona meaningless. Costa simply put it: “I want to win the championship now.”
