Corinthians' Ralf sad to leave Pacaembu stadium ahead of return to new home
Corinthians celebrated their last match played at the Pacaembu as the 'home' side with a 2-0 win against Flamengo, and midfielder Ralf has admitted a tinge of sdaness at leaving the stadium to move into their new Arena Corinthians home, which has been built especially for the hosting of this summer's World Cup tournament.
As well as having the honour of witnessing the competition's opening fixture on June 12 between Brazil and croatia, the Arena will have a legacy of being a state-of-the-art home to Timao, but Ralf was also quick to praise their makeshift venue.
"We were all a little upset to leave the Pacaembu stadium which helped us alot."
"But now our stadium is almost ready and we'll greet our fans with open arms."
The Arena Corinthians is due to have six World Cup games played there, including a second round match and the latter of the tournament's semi final matches.
