Real Madrid prepared for Munich showdown, says defender Marcelo
Real Madrid defender Marcelo has declared a no fear attitude ahead of their Champions League semi final second leg tie against Bayern Munich in Germany on Tuesday evening.
The Spanish giants have been warned to expect an atmosphere at the Allianz Arena "hot enough for the trees to burn in Munich" by the hosts' chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Brazil wing back Marcelo retorted by telling reporters: "We are good. We now have to rest and think of the important game on Tuesday."
"The next game is always the most important and that's how I see it. We have a chance to go through. We have to go into the game relaxed, with humility and respect for the opponent."
"We will see what happens and if the trees burn or not."
Real go into the game defending a 1-0 first leg victory in the Spanish capital, which they achieved courtesy of a first half strike from French forward Karim Benzema.
