The Brazilian midfielder is happy with his return of seven goals in his first season at the north London club.

Paulinho broke the deadlock as Spurs were comfortable 3-1 winners against London rivals Fulham at White Hart Lane last weekend.

The goal took the Brazilian international’s tally in the Premier League to six, whilst he also scored against Dinamo Tblisi in the Europa League.

The 25-year-old, who moved to Spurs from Corinthians last summer, is pleased with his adaption to the Premier League this season.

“It’s my first season in the Premier League, I’ve played a lot of games and yes, I’m happy with seven goals,” Paulinho told Tottenham’s website.

“Everyone knows the first season (in the Premier League) is difficult. It’s a change of football after playing in Brazil, a change of lifestyle and I’m delighted to score seven goals.”

“The most important thing was that we took three points against Fulham. Now we prepare for a tough game against Stoke.”

Paulinho scored 25 goals in 114 appearances for Corinthians.
