Benfica forward Lima believes that his team have the necessary qualities to dispose of Juventus when they travel to Italy for the second leg of their Europa League semi final tie next Thursday, having walked away from the home fixture with a 2-1 victory.

The 30 year-old, who joined Benfica in 2012 and has scored over 30 goals for them in little over 50 appearances, told uefa.com: “We will go to turin as a united team to try to go through with humility.”

“We have the quality and ability to achieve that.”

“We were not expecting to concede a goal but it happened. We must acknowledge that this was no ordinary opponent. It was Juventus.”

“But the important thing is that we won and we have an advantage. Once again we won at home and showed the strength of our squad. Now we will go to Italy with a postive spirit.”

Lima’s late goal cancelled out a Juventus equaliser through Carlos Tevez after Ezequiel garay had given the Portuguese team the lead.
