Gremio lose third straight game after San Lorenzo Libertadores reverseZe Roberto played 85 minutes for the visitors
Gremio suffered a third straight defeat in all competitions after they went down by a solitary goal to Argentine team San Lorenzo in the Copa Libertadores second round, first leg match in Buenos Aires last night.
The Brazilian side lost a 52nd minute goal through winger Correa and could not grab a crucial away goal to take back to Porto Alegre for the return fixture next week; in fairness, a single shot on target from the visitors hardly deserves much more.
Following a 4-1 Gaucho state championship final loss to great rivals Internacional two weeks ago, Gremio then went on to lose their opening Brasileirao league fixture away at Atletico Paranaense, leaving them in a situation that must be quickly remedied.
Gremio's next game, before the return leg of this fixture on May 1st, is a home league match against fellow strugglers Atletico Mineiro this Sunday evening.
