Fred at the double in Fluminense Copa do Brasil stroll
Fred has been at the club since 2009
Brazil striker Fred grabbed a double as Fluminense's good recent form continued in the Copa do Brasil last night with a 3-0 away victory against Tupi.
The Serie A side were always going to go in as heavy favourites and lived up to their billing with a comfortable win with two first half strikes for Fred and a third courtesy of Walter.
Fred's injury worries appear to have abated for the time being, an aspect that Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari will be welcome of; the frontman is seen as a key member of the country's World Cup squad, having netted 16 goals in 31 appearances for the Selecao.
Fluminense, meanwhile, maintain a good streak of results which has seen them win their last three matches, including a 3-0 opening day Brasileirao home victory against Figueirense.
