Former Brazil international Leonardo has insisted he does not regret leaving Internazionale for Paris Saint-Germain.
The 44 year-old coached the Nerazzurri during the 2010-11 campaign, but chose to depart at the end of the season to take up a directors role at PS-G.
“I have nothing to regret,” Leonardo told UOL Esporte. “I left Italy because I received a proposal that was unique in football, as PS-G offered me total freedom and autonomy to build a team worthy of the Champions League.
“I had to accept their offer, just as the offers from Milan and Inter could not be passed up.”
Leonardo left Paris Saint-Germain in July 2013. He is expected to return to management in Europe next season.
