Chelsea defender David Luiz praises Jose Mourinho’s tactical acumenThe 27-year-old in action in the Champions League quarter-final against PSG
Jose Mourinho will be the difference between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid when the two sides meet in Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final first-leg, according to David Luiz.
In a press conference on the eve of his record eighth semi-final as a manager, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho hinted at a strategy to deal with Atlético.
The current La Liga leaders are on course to break a nine-year Barcelona-Real stranglehold on the Spanish title but David Luiz is confident that Mourinho's secret masterplan will lead 2012 winners Chelsea to a third successive European final.
"It will be a great match. What's the key? We have a plan but my boss didn't speak about it so neither will I," said the Brazilian.
"Jose Mourinho knows the team he has and he knows what he has to do to win."
"Our idea is to win every match, we've had a great season and now we are reaching the time when crucial details make a difference."
"It's a dream to play in a semi-final. I was lucky enough to play (in the final) two years ago and I'm still thirsty for it. Everybody has a dream."
"I think we have a great team, we've managed to reach the semi-final, we all want to win and let's hope we can get to the final," completed the 27-year-old.
