Flamengo are expected to be back to almost full strength for their second Brasileirao game on Sunday, away at Corinthians; the Rio de Janeiro side drew a blank in drawing their opening fixture against Goias on Sunday.

The return of Andre Santos, Samir and Caceres will come as a bosst to the club that has already fallen at the wayside in the Copa Libertadores, failing to escape the group stages for only the second time in the club’s history.

Former Brazil playmaker Elano is still not fit enough to be considered for first team duties after a muscle complaint, and defender Leo is in a similar position.

Flamengo’s form of late has been very poor, with the side failing to win in four games after losing to Leon in the Libertadores, drawing twice with Vasco da gama in the Carioca final (whcih they won) and their draw with Goias.
