David Luiz has defended the mental strength and attitude of his Chelsea team-mates, though admits results could be better.
The Blues are fighting for the Premier League title and will face Atlético Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals, but defeats such as Saturday’s against Sunderland has led to some questioning Chelsea’s mentality.
“I wouldn"t say there are [mental] gaps in our team," Luiz told UEFA.com. "Our idea is always to play with intensity.
"The thing is that football is always measured in results. I don"t think there are [mental] gaps. I am really happy with the attitude of our team; maybe not always with the results, but with the attitude."
