David Luiz has praised his Chelsea team mates and backed them to reach the Champions League final for the second time in three years.

Luiz and the Blues won the 2012 title and are now just two matches away from reaching another final, the Brazilian spoke to the media today at a press conference and lauded his team.

UEFA.com quoted the 26-year-old, he said: “Everyone wants to play in a Champions League semi-final; it’s a very important game.

“It’s a dream from my childhood to play in a final; I did it two years ago but I am still hungry.

“Chelsea have a great team, we managed to get here and now let’s hope we can get through to the final.”

Luiz also praised compatriot Willian ahead of Tuesday’s semi-final match against Atlético Madrid.

The Brazilian attacker has proved to be an important player for Chelsea and Luiz praised his “friend”.

Luiz added: “Willian is a great player and a very good friend of mine. He has shown the world just how good a player he is.

“He has managed to return to the national squad. He could be a very important player for us.”
