Sao Paulo were today crowned World Club Champions after beating European champions Liverpool 1-0 in Tokyo.

The games only goal came just before the half-hour following a well-worked move, Mineiro cooly slotting home after he had collected Amoroso’s pass.

Sao Paulo keeper Rogerio Ceni had a busy start to the second half, athletically tipping away Steven Gerrard’s curling free-kick.
