Brazil’s under-21 side beat a shadow Palmeiras XI  3-0 earlier today in a warm up match for the upcoming prestigious Toulon tournament in France.

The invitation competition, which will run next month, is seen as a solid barometer of international teams’ younger squads and has played host to some of the game’s biggest stars in the past.

In previous years, the likes of Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer and Javier Mascherano have graced Touon, which is entering its 42nd year.

The Palmeiras fixture for Brazil’s young guns saw them ease to victory courtesy of goals from Ademilson, Thalles and Alisson.

Brazil will play in Group A of the tournament, alongside the hosts, Colombia, Chile and China.
