Ronaldinho has targeted winning the Brasileirão with Atlético Mineiro this season but he does admit his form is a concern.

The legendary Brazilian has started 2014 in poorly and even ended the previous campaign badly by earning a red card in the FIFA Club World Championship.

Ronaldinho has insisted, though, that he is training hard and now wants to get a run of games to recapute his magic of previous seasons.

The former Barcelona man told Lancenet: “Well I’m training and I’m motivated, I have no greater motivation.

“Sunday (versus Corinthians) will be an important game, one of the great teams that will fight up there, so it’s a great game.”

As alluded to, Atlético Mineiro face Corinthians this weekend in the opening of this year’s tournament.

If Galo are to achieve success however, something Ronaldinho is targeting, then the great man will need to be at his best and he believes with time that will come.

“I’ll have to play as much as possible,” said Ronaldinho. “I lack rhythm, I’ve played very little this season so I want to play and have a run of games but it is up to the manager.

“Since I came here the challenge for me and the club was that we hadn’t won the Copa Libertadores but now we have won, the Brasileirão is what we will fight to win.”
