Hernanes backs Internazionale manager Walter Mazzarri
Hernanes has backed Internazionale manager Walter Mazzarri as continued pressure mounts on the 52-year-old.
The Nerazzurri’s inconsistency has frustrated many this season but the winter signing believes Mazzarri is the right man for the job.
The former Lazio midfielder told Tuttosport: “He is the right coach to develop this project. He is very good in his work on the field but also with his management of the group.”
Football Italia quoted Hernanes who went on to discuss Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidić, who will move to the San Siro in the summer.
Whilst the 28-year-old went on to discuss again why he left Lazio, firstly he said about Vidić: “I hope that above all he really wants to embrace this project and that he has the desire.
“Like how I do. Yes, I came here to win the title, that trophy I am missing in order to feel fulfilled.
“I have been given strong emotions when with Lazio for winning the Coppa Italia against Roma.
“In Rome I wanted to win the League, and that would have been something grand and historic, but I realised that I could not do so and I decided to accept Inter’s offer.”
