Inter Milan defender Juan Jesus has likened himslef to a Superhero, such is the manner in which he has performed for the Serie A side this season with several injury setbacks.

The 22 year-old former Internacional player, who has represented Brazil on four occasions, has had to wear a splint in his foot to rehabilitate and told Inter Milan’s official internat channel: “Injuries come with the job. I see it as a life experience. I never had one before, not even a minor injury.”

“I have to wear a splint for a month  and then we’ll see. I feel like Robocop with this thing.”

“Thank God it’s not a very bad injury. I will not undergo surgery because it’s just ligament damage and can be solved easily.”

Before moving to Italy in 2012, Jesus had won the 2010 Copa Libertadores with internacional and the next year’s Recopa Sudamerica.
