26 year-old midfeilder Romulo has distanced himself from a transfer this summer, despite impressing at Verona, where he is on loan from fellow Serie A outfit Fiorentina.
The Brazilian-born player, who has recently been called up to Italy head coach Cesare Prandelli’s World Cup training squad, told Globo: “When something comes out in the media, it is not just speculation, it has some truth.”
“But I do not know anything, I’m focused on finishing the league with Verona and then analyze and talk to Fiorentina and Verona. Let’s sit down and discuss and see what’s best for my future, because Verona has a purchase option on me.”
Romulo added that in terms of the upcoming World Cup, “Neymar is better than Balotelli, but everything will depend on ehat happens there.”
