Emerson Sheik completes move to Botafogo and bids farewell to former team-mates at CorinthiansThe 35-year-old scored 23 times for the Timão
The striker has visited Corinthians’ training ground to say his farewells after his move to Botafogo was confirmed on Tuesday.
Emerson Sheik will join Botafogo on loan until the end of the year.
The 35-year-old was not in Mano Menezes plans at the São Paulo club and so has opted to move to Rio de Janeiro in the hope for more first-team opportunities.
Following Sheik’s exit, Corinthians praised the striker on their website, thanking him for his contribution of 23 goals in 138 games for the Timão.
He won five titles during his time at Corinthians including the Copa Libertadores.
