If Pelé was playing in the current era he has revealed that he would like to play for Barcelona out of every other club available, and I am sure he would hae a few after his signature.
The King, though, would reject teams such as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich because he feels the way the Catalan club plays is similar to the legendary Santos side he featured in.
The 73-year-old was speaking exclusively to Time magazine and was responding to a question about who he would play for today.
“I would play for Barca,” Mundo Deportivo reports Pelé replying.
“I could play for two or three teams but right now I’d choose Barca because their style of play is most similar to the style of play in my day at Santos.”
Neymar currently plays for Barcelona and it certainly would have been intriguing to see the King play alongside the latest star of Brazil.
