Internazionale defender Juan Jesus praises team mate Kovačić and reveals toughest opponent
Juan Jesus took part in a Twitter Q&A recently and discussed the excitement he gets when facing and playing with particular players.
The Internazionale defender lavished high praise on team mate Mateo Kovačić and talked about the hardest opponent he has had to mark.
Football Italia quoted the 22-year-old defender, he said: “What do I think of Mateo Kovačić? In my view, he is the new Andrés Iniesta. I keep telling him he needs to shoot more.
“The toughest player to mark is Carlos Tevez.
“He’s very strong, always wants the ball, moves continually and that means you must always be very careful.”
Juan Jesus discussed the tactics employed by Inter manager Walter Mazzarri this season, although the Brazilian is now currently out of the season injured.
He also went on to talk about two experienced central defenders, one that will be joining the Nerazzurri ahead of next season.
“A three or four man defence makes no difference to me. Mazzarri is a great coach who always gave me a chance,” Juan Jesus said.
“Playing alongside Walter Samuel was very helpful, as he is a champion and taught me many good things about being on the pitch.
“It will be an important experience to play alongside Nemanja Vidić and I can learn so much. I can’t wait.”
