Ronaldo renting his Leblon apartment to FIFA president Blatter for World Cup
Even in retirement it appears that Ronaldo has the ability to make substantial money out of the Beautiful Game after reports in the Brazilian media suggested that the former Brazil striker is to rent out his plush Rio de Janeiro apartment to FIFA chief Sepp Blatter during this summer's World Cup.
A fee of £500,000 has been mooted for the head of global football's stay in the plush Leblon area, said to be the most affluent in all of South America; allegedly FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke had the same plan during last year's Confederations Cup tournament.
Ronaldo is on the committee for the World Cup and is an ambassador for the competition that is being staged in his homeland. He is often referred to as being the most gifted forward of a generation and scored a hugely impressive 62 goals in 98 games for thr Brazil national side, winning the World Cup in 2002 under current Selecao boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.
