Cesc Fàbregas insists Barcelona must focus on themselves and not give too much attention to Diego Costa.
The Brazilian born forward, who now represents Spain at international level, is seen as Atlético Madrid’s biggest threat ahead of the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against fellow Spaniards Barça.
Costa went off injured in the first leg, a 1-1 draw, and is rated as a doubt for the return, but Fàbregas maintains that whether he plays or not is irrelevant.
“Diego Costa is a very important player but Atlético have many great players,” he told UEFA.com. “We have to focus on ourselves. We want to compete and fight until the end. That is how we think. There are many things left to do this season.”
